In general, no. Homeopathic medicines are not steroid medicines. Here's the difference: Homeopathic medicines are made by repeatedly diluting substances according to homeopathic principles. Steroids (such as prednisolone, dexamethasone, or hydrocortisone) are conventional drugs that reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system. However, there is an important exception: Some products sold as "homeopathic" or "herbal" remedies have been found to be illegally adulterated with steroids or other prescription drugs. This is uncommon but has happened in some countries, especially with unregulated products. These hidden steroids can cause side effects if taken for long periods.
